ACE Training Wins Sustainable Further Education/College of the Year at the Oxford Climate Awards 2025

We are so pleased and proud to share that ACE Training has been named Sustainable Further Education/College of the Year at the Oxford Climate Awards 2025!

These awards shine a spotlight on the individuals, organisations and businesses championing environmental sustainability, and it was an honour to celebrate at the absolutely stunning Oxford Town Hall.

This is our second year running as finalists, and to come away with the win is a fantastic recognition of the way we embed green practices into everything we do. Congratulations go to our fellow finalists, Activate Learning and Wadham College, Oxford University, for the inspiring work they are doing, and thank you to Lucy Group Ltd, our category sponsor.

We were recognised for the wide range of sustainable practices embedded in our day-to-day operations from generating 75% of our electricity through solar panels and powering electric minibuses, to reusing timber offcuts to heat workshops and drastically reducing waste through recycling and repurposing. Our learners actively contribute too, building eco-projects for the community, working with reclaimed materials and gaining hands-on experience that brings sustainability to life.

Gemma Scrivener, Marketing & Communications Manager at ACE Training, said:

“It has been a great year so far for us gaining recognition not only for what we do at our centre and the work we do across the county with schools, but also for how we do it by embedding green practices for the right reasons and in the right way.”
