We are looking for candidates with:
• A teaching qualification. Cert-Ed preferred
• Competency and experience in the delivery of the Bench Joinery diploma level 2 & 3
• Working knowledge of CITB standards and awarding body requirements
• Experience of the Ofsted inspection framework process
• Experience of teaching a diverse range of learners
• Own transport
• Relevant and up-to-date site knowledge/experience

Starting salary will be £28,000 pa and this is a full-time position.

Full-time Administration Officer wanted to join the team in delivering an excellent service to learners, employers and partners across Oxfordshire and beyond.

ACE Training is an independent training organisation operating on a not-for-profit basis.  We deliver construction training programmes, covering a number of trades and disciplines, to individuals and construction companies of all sizes.  We hold direct contracts for government-supported training at both pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship level, and also offer a range of private courses.

The Role

Working with the Operations Director and Training Co-Ordinators, you will provide administrative support in a number of areas to ensure that deadlines and targets are met. Taking a proactive approach to your work and designated tasks, you will coordinate meetings and keep all paper and electronic documents up to date and securely stored.

The Person

  • Experience of providing high quality administrative and customer-focussed service in a busy environment within an educational or similar setting
  • Ability to input a range of data in a timely and accurate manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in person and by telephone) to deal effectively with a variety of customers, including experience of interpreting and delivering information to different audiences.
  • A flexible attitude and the ability to work in collaboration with colleagues & independently
  • Competent user of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • The ability to adopt an Ambitious approach– using innovation and creativity to realise ACE Training’s vision along with a commitment to Excellence and the delivery of continuous improvement.

Aspire is the lead delivery partner for the Unlocking Potential project and the successful applicant will work across their organisation and ACE Training. This is a joint funded Big Lottery and ESF Building Better Opportunities project. It aims to provide a comprehensive, intensive and integrated package of fun engagement activity, real work experience, accredited entry-level training, employability development, one-to-one holistic support and work readiness opportunity to young people aged 17-21 NEET for 6 months or more in the county.

The young people NEET engaged in the project will develop quickly their self-confidence, self-esteem, work readiness & employability. They will be supported into meaningful employment, education & training opportunities with a diverse range of local employers and training providers, with ongoing in-work support to sustain progress.

Salary range is £22,000 to £25,000 per annum. 37.5 hours per week, with 25 days annual leave.

• Similar in Construction Operations (Groundworks) an advantage
• Working knowledge of CITB standards and awarding body requirements

• Experience of teaching a diverse range of learners
• Own transport
• Relevant and up-to-date site knowledge/experience

Salary will be £28-32,000 pa depending on experience and qualifications, and this is a full-time position.
