The Brickie Boys Triumph

ACE Trainees Win BBC Young Reporter Regional Title!

This year, we decided to enter our pre-apprentices into the BBC Young Reporter 2024 competition, and guess what? We have some AMAZING news to share!

Four of our incredible boys – Remus, Riley, Muhammad, and Heath – took on the challenge with their honest project, “How Teenage Guys Are Seen in Society.” These talented young men, known as “The Brickie Boys,” have now been crowned regional winners!

On June 10th, we received the incredible news that The Brickie Boys now hold the BBC England (South) Regional title. From mid-July, they’ll be working with a BBC South production team to create a report on raising aspirations and exploring alternatives to academia for TV, radio, podcast, print, or a mix of all four.

This is a phenomenal opportunity for our young men and for ACE! As a training provider, we are committed to building young individuals who step into the working world with confidence and the skills they need for a bright future.

Please join us in congratulating and celebrating these young men for standing up for all young people transitioning into adulthood. Their first response was, “UNBELIEVABLE!” But we believe it because these young men have truly stood up and been counted.
