ACE works closely with many local authorities, training organisations, professional services and community and charitable organisations. We are also a member of Oxfordshire Community & Voluntary Action (OCVA).
Every year, our team undertakes a packed programme of school visits. We can also deliver talks and workshops for students in the Oxfordshire area who are considering a career in construction and are looking for first-hand insights from seasoned experts.
ACE is a not-for-profit organisation that works with NEET (not in employment, education or training) learners, as well as long term unemployed.
We are interested in establishing and strengthening links with any partners who share our values in respect of up-skilling and developing learners of all ages and backgrounds.
At ACE, we want to get learners out on site as much as possible so they can experience an authentic working environment and enrich their coursework with real-world experiences.
We want our learners to understand the importance of supporting our local community, and we invite charities and community groups to get in touch if they have construction projects we can assist with. We have an excellent engagement record and have achieved outstanding results for those who have worked with us to date.
The Light House Construction Charity is the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.
A crucial element of the charity’s strategy is to provide a wide range of free and widely available pro-active resources to support the industry. The charity offers a free and confidential 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline and text HARDHAT service which provides a range of information, guidance and support on a huge variety of wellbeing issues. These services are complemented by their free Self-Support App which offers another route to support, along with their Lighthouse Beacons who provide a safe space for people to share concerns.
